Duty of Care Conference Hong Kong
Safeguarding health and security of employees and students

Organised by:

26 April 2018, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

About the Conference

Duty of Care implies the legal, moral and ethical obligations that organizations have to their employees and members. With the growing concern on Duty of Care in Hong Kong, since 2015 the Employers' Federation of Hong Kong and the International SOS Foundation joined hands to provide a platform that promotes an open dialogue between different stakeholders to discuss the concerned best practices and organizations’ responses when their employees face travel risks.

The Duty of Care conference aims to facilitate constructive discussions on solutions for health and security-related risks in work or study-related overseas travels. It acts as a springboard for dialogue among employers, employee representatives, and authorities with a view to enhance employers' awareness. In view of the growing number of students going on international travels, we also encourage discussions regarding health, safety and security risks and challenges faced by educational institutions.

Duty of Care Conference 2017

On 8 March 2017 we were proudly joined by 140+ guests in the first full-day conference on Duty of Care, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The three-track conference had 16 speeches and panel discussions where veteran speakers shared thoughts and experience as regards safeguarding the health, safety and security of their students or mobile workforce.Below are a number of snapshots of the conference.
